Description
Aim:
The aim of the course is to meet the mandatory competences and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies prescribed in Section A-V/2 paragraph 4, Table A-V/2-2 of the STCW Code.

Objectives:

To meet the minimum standard of competence for all trainees assigned to shipboard duties as required in Section A-V/2 paragraph 4 of the STCW Code as amended, this course is designed to enable the trainees to successfully demonstrate the competences on Passenger Ship Crisis Management and Human Behaviour Training.
Specifically, at the end of the course the trainee must be able to:
• organize shipboard emergency procedures;
• optimize the use of resources;
• control response to emergencies;
• control passengers and other personnel during emergency situations; and
• establish and maintain effective communications.


Target Audience:

This course is open to all masters, chief engineer officers, chief mates, second engineer officers and any person designated on muster list of having responsibility for safety of passengers in emergency situations on board passenger ships.


Prerequisites:

• Valid medical certificate (2 years)
• Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Service to Passengers in Passenger Spaces and Passenger Ship Crowd Management Training certificate.
• completed online programme (for Practical Training and Assessment)
